This year we went back to Garmisch with a ski-weekend trip planned. Last year the girls took lessons for a day. This year the adults were going to learn and girls would tighten up their skills.

Loree was under the weather but she let me try and learn to ski with the girls. The first day I spent on my butt as the girls zoomed down the practice slope. This year has been a dry one in the Alps. The practice slope was only covered by blow snow each night. The second day we went “up on the mountain”. I still spent part of the day on my butt. Our instructor said you really need to just go up to the top and come down as slow or as fast as you need. I took his advice and followed the girls.
